Cleaning my church

Just a quick note to share how humbled I am by who God is.

Today I cleaned my church. I use to clean 4-5 years ago three times a week for two years. For the next few weeks I am filling in for someone. It took me longer than usual today because I was obsessively meticulous, but hopefully it is squeaky clean when people come in tomorrow.

One of my favorite parts about cleaning is being in the church alone, with worship music blasting. I can sing as loud as I want and worship in every room of the church! Tonight when I was almost done, I went to the front of the sanctuary, got down on my knees with my face to the floor and prayed my heart out. I prayed for our service in the morning, for our pastor, for each person who would walk through the door, and for protection to surround our church. The privilege of having that special time was so humbling.

God wants us to quietly kneel before him with humble hearts. God waits for us to come to him with joy and thanksgiving. God desires us to prepare our hearts for the day to come so that we can be protected and prepared to serve him.

I am anticipating a Spirit filled worship service tomorrow.

I am confident that without a doubt people will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.

I know ears will be opened, veils will be lifted, hearts will be softened.

I can't wait to watch God's love pour down on the people in my church.

I pray a blessing upon all who read this...I pray you will anticipate a Spirit filled day, that you will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, that your ears will be opened, any veil over your eyes will be lifted, and that if your heart needs softened you will be open to God's Word.

Blessings....Teresa
